About Us

We have been married over 35 years and have four grown children and three grandchildren. Larry was a research scientist and Eileen was a commercial real estate appraiser. Both are natives of the New York/New Jersey area and raised the kids in New Jersey. We are both happily retired but intend to do workamping at various campgrounds while we explore the country.

Camping Experience

We sold our home in 2004 and have been living as full timers but strictly in the Albany, NY area. Our home for over a year has been at Alps Family Campground in Averill Park. We had decided to keep our jobs in the event small living quarters were not for us. However, we are now trying the world of full-time rving on the road. We have been camping in various forms for approximately 30 years. We even did a cross country trip from Jersey to California. It was back in 1981 when our children were ages 4, 7, 7 and 9 and we did it - IN A TENT. So basically, we've done most of the rving food groups - tents, pop-up campers, trailers and now - our fifth wheel.

Our Rig
This is our latest and greatest rig. It's a 2006 Holiday Rambler Presidential Suite Fifth Wheel, model 37 SKQ. When we decided to go full time, back in 2003, we looked at a grest many fifth wheels as well as Class A Motorhomes. For us, a fifth wheel was the best way to go. We bought a 2004 Presidential Fifth Wheel and traded in our Prowler travel trailer. We actually had it built for us and "thought" we had everything put in it to have our "perfect" full-time rig. After two years of living in it, we found we were "penny wise and pound foolish" and therefore got our new rig and honestly, this one is PERFECT.
